Internal users are requested to register on line for ICP-OES.Samples along with the print out of the request signed by the guide may be submited to ICP LAB(Room No. 6, SAIF).No hard copy of the data will be provided.

1. Please submit only clear aqueous solutions.
2. 10-20 ml of sample is required for analysis.
3. Highly acidic/alkaline/explosive/organic and corrosive solutions must be avoided
4. It is a good idea to provide proper Reagent Blank also
5. Too much dilution of the sample may lead results below the limit of quantification (LOQ)
***If these spectral measurements are part of some Project work and is not to form a part of a thesis/dissertation to be submitted in IIT/M, leading to a degree from IIT/M, then these measurements will be treated as “external” and charges will have to be paid as per the DST norms.
 
As per the guide-lines of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), in all publications of research work,where in the analytical services of the SAIF have been made use of, the DST and the SAIF shall be duly acknowledged.Kindly send us the publication reference (Journal name/volume number/names of the authors/date of issue of the publication etc) to us.
