Samples can be submitted in the form of Powder, Disk, Pellet, Granules, Pins, Chips & Flakes.
Sample required for Inorganic Analyser : =1 g (Atleast 3 specimens are needed per sample)
Please follow ASTM procedure for sample preparation.
Sample required for Organic Analyser : 10 - 50 mg (only powder samples)

Please go through SAIF website (https://saif.iitm.ac.in) for specifications of the instrument, sample dimensions & other details.
Please do not submit samples which are toxic, corrosive, explosive & develop vapour pressure on heating.
 
Note:
As per the guide-lines of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), in all publications of research work,where in the analytical services of the SAIF have been made use of, the DST and the SAIF shall be duly acknowledged. Kindly send us the publication reference (Journal name/volume number/names of the authors/date of issue of the publication etc) to us.
