Thermo Scientific iCAP TQ ICP-MS is a Triple Quadrupole Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer used for elemental determination at parts per trillion (ppt) levels. The sample in the liquid form is nebulized and transported into a high energy plasma where it gets ionised into its constituent ions. The ions generated are guided into quadrupole mass filter and quantified based on mass to charge ratio. Concentration is proportional to intensity of ions generated per second (cps).
