Introduction:

A workshop on "Theory and Applications of ESR (EPR) Spectroscopy" is being organized at SAIF, IIT Madras during 10-11, December 2013. This two day workshop is intended to give participants an overview of modern ESR spectroscopy and its applications. Eminent professors and experts on ESR spectroscopy will deliver lectures on both theory and instrumentation. An Application Scientist from JEOL, Japan will give lectures on various applications on ESR using X and Q band. Demonstration of the complete capabilities of the state of the art ESR Spectrometer (JEOL Model JES FA 200) installed at SAIF will be added advantage of this program. Setting up of various experiments, processing and interpretation of ESR data will also be done.

PhD scholars and R &D scientists from both academia and industry are encouraged to apply. The maximum number of participants is restricted to 30.

Registration:

The fee for the workshop is 3000.00 for students and research scholars (inclusive of course materials, lunch and refreshments). For industrial participants, the fee will be   5000.00. The fee must be paid in advance by demand draft drawn in favour of "The Registrar, IIT Madras " and should be sent to The Head, SAIF, IIT MADRAS, Chennai-600036 on or before 29-02-13. All participants are requested to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation.
